Slide

We slip and slide
and slowly glide
down the slope of
eternity.
Take one look 'round,
you'll find
this playground
isn't what is seemed to be.
But speeding up and
whipping by and
tearing round the corners;
the merry goes 'round
and brushes the ground
reminicant of cries of glee.

Oh. My. God. I absolutely LOVE THIS POEM. The first lines are amazing, and the last line... mm! So good! The merry-go-round part reminds me of Catcher in the Rye. The part at the end, where Holden watches his sister go around and around.
