She always believed she could fly: why else were those flaps on her back lined with silk feathers floating all around but all she wanted was to float high and true above the rain and just look up for once and you see those gray clouds move too fast for fluff.
Maybe you need a different word than "fluff", but I really love this poem. I think it's interesting,that you made the sentences sort of run on into their own sort of lines. Really neat! I also love the beginning-- the silk lined wings, etc.
