Eternity
She never expected it
To be so soon, when everyone else was laughing giddily.
She never saw it coming.
But it did, so she did
Tear herself apart in desperation
To just find when it could have been
and now she waits,
Hungry,
And eternity never did feel so long.

I can really feel the desperation in this poem. I love the use of the word "Hunger".
